On Thursday, the Galician Government gave its approval to the decree calling for the public offer of employment (OPE) in the general administration for 2019, which consists of 2,617 places, 18 percent more than the previous year.
According to the Galician president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, with this the Xunta has summoned this year a total offer – sums up the places of education and those of health – of 6,004 places, which is the largest of the last decade.
Núñez Feijóo recalled that the call offers all the places allowed by the legislation, the replacement rate, and explained that of the 2,617 places of general administration, 1,543 are open access.
The rest, 227 places are for civil servants and 847 for fixed jobs that want to access the civil service.
Of the places of free access, the Galician president has stressed that "half", about 800, will be allocated to social issues.
According to Núñez Feijóo, Galicia becomes with this offer in the community with "lower temporary rate" in public employment, with a general 7% and 5% in health.
In addition, the reserve for people with different abilities reaches 10.3% and exceeds the minimum 7% established.
The Galician president has highlighted that of the 15,000 places committed to the unions for the period 2017-2020 the Xunta has already called "13,775", so it is "92% fulfilled in the absence of the 2020 OPE."
In total, since 2009 "and despite the crisis" and limits on the replacement rate, said Núñez Feijóo, the Galician Government has called "25,917 seats."
