The wonderful northern lights on the Island of Senja - The Province

The Elder Museum of Science and Technology of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is the stage chosen by Juan Ramón Rodríguez, self-described The Collector of Instants, to share in public a series of trips that he has been doing lately to the Arctic Circle, one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights. The experience of Juan Ramón Rodríguez and the work done in the Arctic are the subject of a conference and a photographic projection, with free admission, which takes place today, Friday, the 12th, at 6.30 pm, at the Elder Museum, located at the back of Santa Catalina Park.

In the words of The Collector of Instants, contemplating an aurora borealis is one of the things that everyone should do, at least once in their life. His project En busca de las luces del Norte was born with a trip that Juan Ramón Rodríguez made to Iceland in 2013, followed by a trip to the town of Tromso, in Norway, in March 2014; another to Abisko, in Swedish Lapland, in November 2014; one penultimate to the Lofoten Islands, in Norway, in 2015; to Saariselka, Finnish Lapland, in 2017, the Lofoten Islands, in Norway, and the most recent in the Island of Senja, on which will be the conference that will be held in Elder.
