The multipurpose space Wizink Center of Madrid, the old Sports Palace, has offered its facilities to the Community of Madrid as a vaccination point against him coronavirus, a proposal that the Ministry of Health will study.
Sources from Wizink himself have confirmed to Efe this information, advanced by the regional vice president, Ignacio Aguado, on his official Twitter account.
"Thanks to the Wizink Center for offering its facilities as a vaccination point to continue fighting the virus. You have shown that you are a benchmark in the organization of sporting events and also an example of social commitment," Aguado wrote.
Madrid Government sources have indicated that this offer is great news and that the Ministry of Health will study the proposal.
The space, with a maximum capacity of about 18,000 people, is located in the Goya neighborhood, where it occupies the block delimited by Felipe II avenue (located to the west at the confluence with Lombía street) and Goya streets (north), Jorge Juan (south) and Fuente del Berro (east).
