The Valencian Community remembers from the balconies the victims of COVID-19

Valencia, Apr 19 (EFE) .- The Generalitat Valenciana and municipalities of the Valencian Community have remembered this afternoon from their balconies and homes the deceased by COVID-19 and have kept three minutes of silence as a sign of respect and to express the condolences to your relatives.

The Valencian Government agreed last Friday to declare official mourning in the region this Sunday and the official flags have been flown at half-staff outside all official buildings.

The Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) joined the call, which urged the municipalities to join the duel and to participate in the 3 minutes of silence called by the victims of the coronavirus.

He recalled that the Consell has decreed mourning this Sunday, “in reference to COVID-19” and in memory of “the victims of this terrible pandemic” and the families who “are having a hard time” and those who have lost a relative and “They couldn’t even mourn him.”

Many municipalities have also sounded the bells of their bell towers as a sign of mourning.

The party of this Sunday has also been joined by political parties and unions, and the Bishopric of Orihuela-Alicante has called Christians a time of “prayerful silence” to ask for all those killed by the pandemic.

The Valencian Government has also announced that, when the health crisis is overcome, an official mourning will be decreed with a “heartfelt tribute” of remembrance to all the victims and also of support for their families, as well as to testify the thanks of the Generalitat to all the people who have helped mitigate the effects of the pandemic.
