The United States will be the country invited to the IX International Aeronautical Fair (F-AIR) to be held from July 11 to 14 in the Colombian department of Antioquia (northwest), promoters said Friday.

"It is very important to have as a guest a strategic ally with a long history in the industry (...) that will contribute to our country knowledge, development and experience," said the director of the fair, Colonel Arnaud Penent d'Izar , quoted in a statement from the organizers.

The most important civil and military aeronautical event in Colombia will be held at the José María Córdoba international airport, located in the municipality of Rionegro, which serves Medellín, where at least 200 exhibitors from Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and the Czech Republic will be presented. , France, the United States, Honduras and Canada, among others.

In addition, the information added that 12 official delegations from Mexico, the Netherlands, Israel, Panama, Russia, Peru, Spain, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, El Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela will participate.

During the fair, attendees can participate in academic days, air shows of the Thunderbirds (US aerobatics group), marketing spaces, aerial magazines and the exhibition of more than 100 civil and military aircraft.

"F-AIR is an excellent opportunity to generate new commercial and business ties at the national and international level," said Colonel Penent.

The event is organized by the Colombian Civil Aeronautics, the Air Force and operated by Corferias.

For its part, the Air Force will celebrate its 100 years of "service to the country", with a sample on the ground of the capabilities of its aircraft.

The fair is held every two years in the country and is the second most important event of its kind in Latin America.
