It was an open secret … but it’s official. Netflix has renewed The Umbrella Academy for a third season. The new season of the series that follows the adventures of the Hargreeves brothers will also consist of ten episodes that will begin filming in February next year in Toronto. This has been confirmed by Netflix on social networks

The third installment in the series based on the Dark Horse Comics saga will once again star Ellen Page (Vanya), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castañeda (Diego), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Aidan Gallagher (Five), and Justin H. Min (Ben).

The return of Ritu Arya (Lila) and Colm Feore, who plays Reginald Hargreeves, the billionaire who adopts superpowered children born after an eclipse and trains them to form a team of superheroes.

The second installment ended with a great cliffhanger, since after Five managed to travel in time to, again, save his brothers, the Hargreeves return home but find their mansion changed and occupied by other characters who, as comic book fans know, are members of the Sparrow Academy.
