The Spanish Public Treasury on Tuesday sold three and nine month letters for an amount of 1,268.04 million euros at a negative interest slightly lower than the auction held last month.
According to market data, the Treasury has issued 1,017.65 million euros in nine-month bills with a marginal interest of -0.481% (-0.446% in the auction last January 21).
As for the three-month letters, this department under the Ministry of Economy has awarded titles worth 250.39 million euros with a yield of -0.501% (-0.495% last month).
The coverage rate – the ratio between the amount requested and the amount finally granted – was 9.45 times for three-month securities and 4.75 times for nine-month bills.
The Treasury planned to issue between 1,000 and 2,000 million euros in three and nine month bills.
Next Thursday there will be an auction of five-year bonds (0% coupon) and ten-year bonds (0.5% coupon) in which you intend to place securities for an amount between 4,000 and 5,000 million euros .
