They are two completely different players to those who last met at Wimbledon eleven years ago. However, the current versions of Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal still have a very even level in grass.
And so it has been seen in the first set in which once again Federer has returned to take the first set in the tiebreaker. The Swiss is the best player in history in the art of tie break and his head to head particular in Wimbledon against Rafa scares.
In all three games they had played so far, Federer had won five of the six playoffs they had played in the All England Club. In the second of their finals they were also decisive, 7-6 (7), 4-6, 7-6 (3) 2-6 6-2. Nadal has only been able to get a set to the tiebreak at Wimbledon against Federer and this streak has continued in the first set of this semifinal that the Swiss has taken.
They are two very different players to those, and they are only statistics, but it seems that in the tie break Federer has taken the measure to Nadal.
