The 26th edition of the theater, music and dance festival in the capital of Gran Canaria will carry out its 77 performances between September 1 and 18

The 26th edition of the Theater, Music and Dance Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Temudaswill take place between September 1 and 18 with a total of 44 shows and 77 performances, most of which will take place in the surroundings of the
Alfredo Kraus Auditorium and in the Sala Atlántico of the same area of ​​the Paseo de Las Canteras.

This return to its signs of identity also implies the return of the traditional concert of the
Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra (OFGC) to the port area after passing through the Santa Catalina park due to the health crisis. Thus, on September 17 it will once again take place in the
Boluda container terminal, at Muelle de La Luz, with tickets for 12 euros.

in the miller room of the Santa Catalina park and in the
Guiniguada Theater they will have a

The delivery scheduled for this year repeats the formula of concentrating all the programming in just over two weeks, as happened in 2021.

The surroundings of the Auditorium will have three specific enclaves for Temudas. The larger format bets, such as the
concert of the Municipal Symphonic Bandmagic and vertical dance can be enjoyed on stage A of the Plaza de la Música, advances Marisol García.

Stage B, also in the Plaza de la Música, will be used for the most intimate and small-format shows, while stage C will host the show that opens this edition, the circus number
'Perceptions', by the Gauls Compagnie Bivouac.

Dance will take over the Las Olas Viewpoint, a short distance from the giant sculpture by Alfredo Kraus, while the Sala Atlántico of the Auditorium will host productions with a
"more intimate", as well as "object and puppet theatre".

Humor and a puppet show for adults only they will have the stage of the Miller room, while the Guiniguada Theater will host very varied scenic and musical proposals.

The Las Canteras promenade is chosen to develop a
parade starring Nacho Vilar Producciones-Yllana. It will culminate in the Plaza de la Música and on September 15 and 16 it will fill this space with the characters from its show 'Glubs'.

Budget

This 26th edition of the festival has a
municipal contribution of 450,000 eurosto which the City Council of the capital of Gran Canaria, its organizer, hopes to add the corresponding contributions from other editions by the Ministry of Culture and the Government of the Canary Islands, which have not yet been made public, says Marisol García.

The programming includes two international productions, 29 national ones and eight Canarian ones

The Temudas festival next September will feature performances by two international companies, 29 national companies and eight from the Canary Islands. The latter were selected in a public call endowed with 90,000 euros and to which more than fifty proposals were submitted.

Marisol García highlighted the "great evolution" that has been perceived in this seventh edition of this public call, where "more proposals for street theater than for street" have prevailed, since the market for the latter is almost nil on the islands .

The shows that will be performed at the Guiniguada Theater are: 'Mitos', by A-Producciones; 'By magic', by Totó el Payaso; 'Soy una nuez', by Zum-Zum Teatre, 'Mujer', by the Rocío Pozo company; and 'Rosa Caramelo', by Titiritrán Teatro.

Among the proposals that will be exhibited in the three spaces of the Plaza de la Música are: the circus bets 'Zapatos en el aire', by XA! Teatre, 'Parade, the circus of the brave', by La Maquiné, 'Ethos', by Producciones Chisgarabís and 'Perceptions', by the Gauls Compagnie Bivouac; the dance of 'Lázaro', staging by Leamok; the clown plays '400,001 million stars', by Luciérnagas Teatro, and 'Rojo', by Mireia Miracle Company'; the concert 'Master of Fingerstyle Guitar Vol 2&1', by Nino Costoya; Ramiro Vergaz's acrobatics in 'White Bottom', Magician Yunke's magic with 'Conjuro'; the concert 'Fogalera', by 101 Brass Band; the show 'Ratas, a very unhygienic comedy', by La Inesperada Producciones, and the 'Tribute to John Williams', by the Municipal Symphonic Band.

Among the bets for the Miller room are: 'Celestina Infernal', by Teatro Corsario; 'Las Bingueras de Euripides', by Las Niñas de Cádiz; 'Antígona', by the Companhia do Chapitô; 'Demo, elegy of the moment', by The Nose Theater; and 'El Funeral', by Teatro Che y Moche.
