The teachers, the real protagonists of ¡Grandes Profes!

The foundation Atresmedia In collaboration with Santillana, Samsung and the International University of Valencia (VIU) has celebrated this morning in Madrid the sixth edition of ¡Grandes Profes !. A tribute to all teachers that every day they teach classes in the classrooms of the schools and institutes of our country.

The ceremony has been led by the presenters of LaSexta noche, Iñaki López and Andrea Ropero, and has had the presence of 2,000 teachers from all over Spain and relevant professionals from different fields: the pioneer of Artificial Intelligence, Ramón López de Mántaras; the paleontologist Juan Luis Arsuaga; the chef Ramón Freixa; the writer Álex Rovira; the social skills coach María Fernández; the vocalist of Maldita Nerea, Jorge Ruiz; the actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz and the group Los Vivancos, who have been in charge of putting the finishing touch to this meeting dedicated to teachers.

Each and every one of the speakers has been giving shape to the main question of this sixth edition of ¡Grandes Profes !: What is talent for you? While for coach María Fernández, talent means self-confidence, singer Jorge Ruíz explained the importance of following the advice of the people at our side. However, for the actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz talent is equal to the passion and effort that we put to things to get them and the chef Ramón Freixa bets for the difference. But all of them agreed on something: how important teachers are in the lives of children and adolescents.

The event has also had a round table moderated by the professor of Sociology, Mariano Fernández Enguita and in which they have intervened and debated on the value of teachers, the teacher of primary finalist at Global Teacher prize 2018, Xuxo Ruíz; the innovation expert, Silvia Leal and the founder of the club Malasmadres, Laura Baena.

A ceremony in which quotes such as "Teaching is leaving a mark on a person's life" have enhanced the figure of the thousands of teachers who teach in schools, which has been able to be followed live via streaming and which begins its preparations for next year's edition.
