The strong storm that hits Buenos Aires with heavy rains, hail and thunderstorms caused on Saturday delays and cancellations in the main airports of the capital and the suspension of several football matches scheduled for this weekend.
At the beginning of the day the state-run Airports Argentina 2000 alerted through its Twitter profile of the interruption of its "usual services".
"By security protocol, platform personnel must interrupt their usual tasks during adverse weather events. No fuel is charged and delays in flights and luggage delivery can occur until the electrical activity ends," he published.
In the digital portal of the company you can check the status of each flight, a list in which most appear canceled and many others with delay for the two main airports of the city: Ezeiza and Jorge Newbery Airport.
Likewise, the sports day in the capital was also affected by the weather, although this weekend there is no day of the men's Super League due to the stoppage of selections.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) informed through a statement that the match between San Lorenzo and SAT, corresponding to the fourth day of the maximum women's competition to be played today, was suspended.
This measure affected in total more than a dozen games, mostly from the second division.
The National Meteorological Service forecasts high probability of rain – between 70% and 100% – for today in the city, with storms that will dissipate as the day progresses.
The forecast improves for tomorrow, when the probabilities of precipitation will be reduced below 10% and temperatures will increase to exceed 15 degrees, although wind gusts will continue with speeds that may exceed 40 kilometers per hour.
