The Spanish Lucas Eguibar is proclaimed world champion of boardercross

Lucas Eguibar from Gipuzkoa, the only Spanish participant, was proclaimed boardercross world champion of snowboard by winning the test played this Thursday at the Swedish station Idre Fjäll, in Sweden.

The champion from San Sebastian -silver in the World Cup Sierra Nevada 2017 and fourth two years ago in those of Solitude (USA) – won gold ahead of Austrian Alessandro Hämmerle, who captured silver and Canadian Eliot Grondin, bronze in a test in which another Austrian, Jakob Dusek, was fourth

The German Martin Noerl, who won the Small Final, finished the test in fifth position.

“I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it”, Eguibar explained as soon as he won gold in Sweden.
