September 19, 2021 It has been engraved in the memory of all La Palma trees when at 3:13 pm it began to spit ashes and wash the new volcano of La Palma born in lthe skirts of Cumbre Vieja. The tragedy lived by thousands of palm trees who have seen their lives cut short and today, 20 days after the start of the eruption and without knowing when the volcano will stop spitting lava and will go to sleep, the solidarity with the people of palm continues. Solidarity that knows no borders, with donations of clothing, food or money, or with small gestures that make those who make them great to encourage the palmists to continue.
This is the case of CEIP La Isabela, in Sacedón, (Guadalajara province) whose students and teachers have recorded a video in which they send messages of hope and encouragement to all those who reside on the island of La Palma while they eat Canarian bananas, in this case bananas from La Palma. “You are not alone. A banana for La Palma; courage, together, go ahead. Your problems, our bitterness; your solution, our happiness. You are not alone, together we will succeed.”
