The Seoul Stock Exchange today caught the gains of Wall Street in its most recent session and was able to end the day with advances, for the second consecutive day, after having arrived in the previous dates at levels of almost two years.
The Kospi indicator of the Seoul Stock Exchange closed with a rise of 15.00 points, 0.74 percent, to stand at 2,029.69 units, while the Kosdaq technological values index rose 4.53 points, a 0, 70 percent, up to 648.67 integers.
Analysts attributed today's gains to Wall Street earnings and White House statements that anticipate the possibility of the United States and China closing their trade disputes.
The main star of the market, Samsung Electronics, had a very discreet reaction, with a rise of 0.12%, after having released its quarterly results before the opening of the South Korean stock market.
For its part, the LG Electronics firm, key also in the Seoul market, ended with an advance of 3.43%.
In contrast, the leading manufacturer of the Korean automotive sector, Hyundai Motors, lost 0.93% today.
