The Seoul Stock Exchange closed today with positive results in its main indicators, including a 0.45% advance in Kospi, ending the four-session streak in red.
The Kospi finished with an advance of 9.20 points, up to 2,038.68 units, while the Kospi technological index rose 1.11% or 6.86 points, to 625.64 integers.
Analysts attributed today's advances to operators' purchases to take advantage of the low prices of many securities, taking into account that Kospi reached the lowest level on Monday in two months.
Samsung Electronics, the main firm of South Korean parquet and that this Wednesday will release its quarterly results, rose 0.98%.
The world's second microchip manufacturer, SK Hynix, increased 2.47%.
In other sectors, the main South Korean automotive group, Hyundai Motors, closed unchanged, while its subsidiary Kia Motors gained 2.33%.
