The Island Library of Gran Canaria opens today, Monday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m., the collective exhibition called The I, which drives the Josefa Medina de Gáldar Academy of Drawing and Painting, in collaboration with the Association of Writers and Writers Word and Verse.
The exhibition includes a set of 50 poems and aphorism transformed into more than 70 visual works around the self. The aforementioned exhibition, which could already be seen in the Sala Sabor of the Consistorial Houses of Gáldar at the beginning of the year, brings together the creations of a group of writers and writers, as well as of plastic artists who, under the motto Me and nothing more me, They reflect on one of the fundamental questions of the human being, what or who the self is, using the word, drawing, painting and iconography as an expression tool.
Participating writers include, among others, Baltasar Espinosa, Ángel Sánchez, Antonio Arroyo Silva, Antonio González Croissier, Raúl Mendoza, Rubén Mettini, Josefa Molina, Ibrahím Rosario, Milagrosa Salgado Ramos, Marlenis Castellanos, Isa Guerra and Lola Tacoronte ..
Surprising, original, shocking, different, spectacular, were some of the qualifications of the people who have already been able to enjoy this collective that can now be seen until September 30 in the Insular Library of Cabildo of Gran Canaria. The exhibition can be visited free of charge from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
