TheSantander Bankobtained a net attributable profit of7,810 million euros in 2018,18% morethat a year earlier, as reported by the Spanish entity on Wednesday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
In a note, the president of Banco Santander,Ana Botín, has highlighted that 2018 "has beenan excellent year for the Group", upon the successful completion of its strategic plan for three years, and to achieve it, the focus on gaining the trust of customers and on digital transformation has been key.
"Thanks to this, we continue as one of the most profitable and efficient banks in the world among our competitors," said the president of Banco Santander.
