The Samsung Galaxy Fold will arrive in Spain next May 3 at a price of 2,000 euros, slightly above the 1,750 euros that was calculated to the change of the dollar when it was presented for the US market, where it costs $ 1,980.
The flexible screen device will be available to book on the web from April 26 and will be available on May 3 in 15 different countries in Europe, including Spain. It will come as a promotion with the Galaxy Buds headphones and a gift sleeve. The colors that can be purchased are silver (Space Silver), black (Cosmos Black), green (Martian Green) and blue (Astro Blue).
Given the high price of the terminal, its launch will be mainly through the operators (Movistar, Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo), which will support the sale of the mobile through promotions and financing in installments. Samsung is ahead of Huawei, which will launch its mobile phone with folding screen Mate X in the middle of this year 2019 for 2,299 euros.
The Fold works like a hybrid, with two screens, so that it can be used as a folded mobile of 4.6 inches, and as a 7.3-inch tablet when it is deployed. The internal screen not only folds, folds thanks to a layer of polymer and a screen approximately 50% thinner than the typical smartphone screen, which allows Galaxy Fold to be flexible and hard.
On the big screen, up to three applications will be displayed at the same time and will automatically open the tasks that were being done in the small one. In this way, when opening and closing the Galaxy Fold, applications will automatically appear where they were left.
