The RTVE News Council charges against Inés Hernand without mentioning her

As expected, the Goya Awards ceremonycontinues to drag controversies since its celebration last Saturday in Valladolid. To the agrarian protests, the political demands against sexist abuse or the situation in Gaza, there is now a controversy related to the communicator Inés Hernand. The presenter, who had just been in charge of several spaces and segments at the last Benidorm Fest, has now been subject of direct criticism -although without mentioning his name- by the RTVE News Council.

Hernand, during the two hours before the gala, was in charge of interviewing several of the guests at the ceremony on the red carpet, offering a casual point of view and less focused on the strictly cinematic. This aroused praise and criticism on social networks, but none from the internal regulatory body of the public entity. "The RTVE Interactive Media News Council wants to record its rejection with the tone and content of the broadcast of the red carpet of the Goya Awards on RTVE Play by an external collaborator", can be read in a statement made public on social networks

"As much as you want to give a casual tone, alternative and designed for a youth audience"We believe that any content that carries the RTVE brand must comply with the quality and neutrality standards set forth in the RTVE style book," is explained by the News Council, alluding to the comments made by Hernand during the broadcast. and also complaining about the "burps" and "swear words" spoken by the presenter.
