The Riu Palmeras of Playa del Ingls reopens its doors with more rooms and services – La Provincia

RIUHotels & Resorts has just reopened the first hotel it had in the Canary Islands – Riu Palmeras and now Riu Palace – after investing 22 million euros in a complete reform of the establishment, which originally opened its doors in 1985 in Playa del Inglés, on the island of Gran Canaria, and now marketed under the luxury line of the Riu Palace chain.

This hotel was the first of the company outside of Mallorca, so its opening is especially significant, as explained by the CEO of the chain, Luis Riu, because it also meant "the starting gun" for the expansion and commercialization of the manager in the chain.

The establishment, now renamed Riu Palace, has expanded the number of rooms, to a total of 274, increasing its category after the modernization of its facilities and offering new services. Among them, the new Krystal fusion restaurant.
