Paying a dinner based on Instagram followers is now possible. That is the initiative that the brothers Matteo and Tomaso Pittarello have set in motion. This is not a sushi bar (This is not a sushi bar), with the inauguration on October 11th of a new venue in Milan. Depending on the number of followers you accumulate in your Instagram account you can get a plate or even dinner for free.
"The objective is twofold: on the one hand, to estimate the presence of the public in the facilities, given that 80% of our activity is focused on home delivery, and on the other hand, that customers play with us and feel part of it. our project ", the owners of the premises declare to the Italian press.
How does the project work? The idea is simple. All those who have between 1,000 and 5,000 followers will get a free plate. From 5,000 to 10,000 will get two free dishes; from 10,000 to 50,000, four; from 50,000 to 100,000, eight and if for the most popular, that is, what has more than 100,000 followers can eat or dine for free.
But that is not enough. Diners should take a photo of one of the dishes with the label of the page @thisisnotasushibar and the hashtag #thisisnotasushibar and present it in the display. The project that is currently only available in the place located on Calle Lazzaro Papi 6, excludes 12 dishes from the menu and the drink.
"Today the best sponsors are on social networks, especially Instagram," the brothers explain. If the measure awakens the interest of the public, both the most famous and the least, the restaurant will have achieved great visibility and all this thanks to the publicity of the customers themselves.
