By islands, Tenerife added 89 detections yesterday, bringing its ongoing clinical pictures to 1,159 –66.2% of the total–, while Gran Canaria added 32 and has 393 patients. For its part, Lanzarote verified two cases and its assets are 93. Likewise, Fuerteventura recorded five infections and its list of assets is made up of 90 people.
On the contrary, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro kept their data unchanged because there were no new infections. In this way, the first is maintained with six patients diagnosed with the condition, the second, with seven, and the third free of coronavirus.
As regards epidemiological discharges, it should be noted that 118 have been issued since the last balance, so that there are already 55,537 people who have managed to overcome the pathology in the Archipelago.
The situation in the hospitals has hardly changed with respect to the previous day. And it is that taking into account the information handled by the administration, in Canarian health centers there are 185 patients fighting the virus in Covid plants – one less – and 26 in intensive care units – two less.
Right now, the cumulative incidence in the last seven days in the Canary Islands stands at 42.65 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while that of the last 14 days is 77.53 frames on the same population count.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 1,168,712 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests have been carried out in the community, of which 2,225 were performed last Sunday. In the last seven days, 16,743 tests of this type have revealed a positive result in the disease.
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands launches two new mass vaccination points against COVID-19 in Gran Canaria with the capacity to inoculate 2,100 more people per day. One of them, loaned by the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is in the La Presa Sports Complex, in Pedro Hidalgo, and the other in the Juan Carlos I Hospital, managed by the Nursing teams of the Insular Maternal and Child University hospitals and Dr. Negrín, in coordination with those of the Primary Care Management and who join the other 44 vaccination points currently existing on the Island.

Canarias has registered 114 new cases of COVID-19 In the last 24 hours, the total number of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 57,937 with 1,738 active, of which 28 are admitted to the ICU and 186 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.
Likewise, in the last hours two deaths have been reported in the Canary Islands, one in Tenerife and the other of a 63-year-old man linked to a labor outbreak registered on a ship in shipyards in Gran Canaria. In the latter case, the variant of the strain is awaiting validation by sequencing.
The total deceased on the islands since the beginning of the pandemic it has risen to 780, of which 432 have been in Tenerife; 274 in Gran Canaria; 49 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 7 on La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.
The Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days in the Canary Islands it rises compared to yesterday to 40.95 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and AI at 14 days at 75.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,166,712 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,225 correspond to the last 24 hours.
By islands, Tenerife adds 82 new infections with a total of 25,704 accumulated cases and 1,134 epidemiologically active; Gran canaria it has 22,966 accumulated cases, 12 more than the previous day, and 380 active; Lanzarote adds three new cases with 5,642 accumulated and 105 active, and Fuerteventura adds 12 infections and has 2,438 accumulated cases and 103 active.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has administered 1,350,785 doses of vaccines against COVID-19, of the 1,469,130 received, which represents 91.94 percent of arrivals to the Canary Islands.
Until yesterday, the immunization of 487,988 people had been achieved, so 26.08 percent of the target population (1,871,033 people) in the Canary Islands has completed their vaccination schedule, having already received two doses of the vaccine.
Likewise, in the Archipelago there are already 918,896 people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, that is, 49.11 percent of the target population.
