The rains return to the Canary Islands this Saturday

Rainfall returns with different intensity this Saturday to the Canary Islands, according to the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet). There will be a predominance of cloudy skies in the islands of greater relief, with rains that will mainly affect the northern slope and inland areaswhere they could be locally persistent and in the form of a shower.

On Lanzarote and Fuerteventuracloudy intervals with probable weak and scattered precipitation. It is not ruled out that during the early morning it snows lightly on the high peaks of Tenerife and La Palma.

On the islands with greater relief, there will be a northerly component wind with strong intervals on the summits and east and west slopes, where very strong gusts that reach 70 kilometers per hour locally and punctually are not ruled out. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, more intense north wind in the second half of the day.

In the sea there will be north or northeast 4 or 5, west 5 or 6 and southeast mainly at the end. Strong swell, locally thick in the west and southeast as of early morning. In the southwest, variable 1 to 4 and swell. Northwest swell 2 to 3 meters, increasing to 3 to 4. Showers.
