Friday begins Holy Week for thousands of students in the Archipelago and the first forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a slightly cloudy or clear weather in general, tending to cloudy in the north of the western islands in late hours during this weekend. The cloudiness of the last days will continue with possibility of rains especially in the western islands, which can affect holidays or religious processions.
As of Monday, April 15, the Aemet awaits the arrival of a cloudy front from the Atlantic which threatens the probability of precipitation mainly in El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife. The tendency of the northeast winds will prevent the cloudiness from reaching the easternmost islands.
Over week the weather will stabilize offering temperatures with few changes or in slight rise. As of Thursday, another rainy front is expected from the Atlantic that threatens precipitation on Thursday and Holy Friday.
As for temperatures, the Aemet predicts that the thermometers oscillate between 18 and 25 degrees without changes or in slight ascent, mainly the maximum with a predominant wind of the northeast that will lose intensity as the day progresses.
