The Prosecutor's Office makes two complaints in Cuenca for alleged sexual abuse of minors within the Church

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha has filed two complaints in the courts of Cuenca and San Clemente, respectively, for two alleged cases of sexual abuse that would have been committed within the church, as reported by the Castilian Manchega Prosecutor's Office.

Specifically, once both investigative procedures were completed by the Public Prosecutor's Office, complaints have been filed regarding Criminal Investigation Diligence number 14/2022, for two crimes of sexual abuse of minors and one crime of enticing minors for sexual purposes. (child-grooming).

Likewise, a complaint has also been filed on the Criminal Investigation Diligence number 30/2022, for a continued crime of sexual assault with penetration of a minor and a crime of sexual abuse.

From the regional Prosecutor's Office they have recalled that The State Attorney General's Office requested, on January 31 of this year, a list of the criminal proceedings in process in the territorial prosecutor's offices, initiated both in judicial and prosecutorial offices, and whose purpose is to clarify complaints and complaints for the alleged commission of aggression and sexual abuse of minors within congregations, schools or any other religious institution.

In this area, the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Cuenca has proceeded to process the aforementioned criminal investigation proceedings and does so as a result of a communication by the Diocesan Office for Reporting Abuses of the Bishopric of Cuenca, "for acts for which they would be responsible ecclesiastics”.

Once both investigative procedures were completed by the Public Prosecutor's Office, two complaints were filed before the courts of Cuenca and San Clemente.
