If there is a company that has become by its own merits synonymous with order at home, that is Ikea. The Swedish multinational specialized in design furniture sales own has entered practically all households of families of different ages, thanks to an attractive style for the buyer and the famous system "mock it yourself", with which you can put simple products to cabinets or larger structures.
The company is also aware of the mistakes it can make at a certain time, so it is very active in both social networks as in the informative portals that are on its official website. An example of this is the "product removal" section, where the company directly informs the customer of those furniture or other items that have been shown to be defective or present a fault for which they must be returned to the store.
The last case was the 180-gram SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP cake. Ikea has informed on its website that it is proceeding to withdraw this article because it does not indicate "specifically the milk in the list of ingredients in any of the languages". "Ikea today announces the withdrawal of the sweet marshmallow pie SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP of 180 grams for not indicating the milk in the list of ingredients in some languages," they explain.
"The product contains sweetened whey, a whey powder derived from milk that, although indicated in the list of ingredients, milk is not named specifically in some of the languages of the label. This can lead to a possible risk to health of people who are allergic or intolerant of milk or its components. The measure affects the packages with expiration dates between 03/12/2019 and 04/18/2019, "the Swedish multinational said in the statement.
"For Ikea, food security is one of its main priorities, that is why it has proceeded to its withdrawal, although no case of allergic reactions has been detected after consumption of the product and does not affect the labeling in Spanish. The measure is the result of the notice of a customer in a UK store, who warned of such confusion in the labeling of the product. People who do not suffer allergy or intolerance to milk or its components should not worry about consuming the product, as the food products sold and served at Ikea are safe and healthy for consumption"
To avoid any kind of inconvenience, "Ikea asks customers who have purchased this product and are allergic or intolerant of milk or its components that return it to their nearest Ikea store for full refund. In no case will it be necessary to present proof of purchase ".
Just a few months ago, the Swedish multinational also warned its client that it had started to withdraw a table "for risk of falling".
