Agents from the General Information Commissary arrested three individuals in Tenerife on Tuesday night, accused of belonging to a network for the financing of Islamist terrorism. Among them is the Syrian Aiman Adlbi Adlbi, president of the Islamic Commission of Spain, the largest Muslim organization in the country, police sources inform elDiario.es.
The operation is coordinated by the Central Court of Instruction number 6 of the National Court, whose head is Manuel García-Castellón. Together with Adlbi, 74, Mohamed Safwan Baba Kabel, also a 70-year-old Syrian, and Mohamed Hatem Rohaibani Sleik, of the same nationality and 61 years old, were taken away. Information agents made several searches.
The court case was opened in 2011 and, according to the sources consulted, Adlbi has already been released at this time.
