The Popular Party will present motions throughout the Spanish territory to demand from the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, the immediate dismissal of the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón, for what they consider attacks on livestock and the Spanish meat sector.
Garzón emphasizes that he speaks of the macro-farms as a minister of the Government and criticizes the "manipulation" of his words
Thus, through its municipal, provincial and regional groups, the PP will present motions in town halls, councils, councils and island councils, demanding the "immediate" rectification, by the President of the Government, of the statements made to the international press by the Minister of Consumption.
In the same way, they demand that the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, denies "with the data available to him" the affirmations of his Cabinet colleague. In addition, they require that you launch a national and international campaign to defend and support the meat livestock sector, as well as the necessary measures for said sector to advance in sustainability.
In the petition model that they will present, they recognize the "great" work carried out, not only to the farmers, but also to the rest of the professionals of the sector to make it adapt to the regulatory and social requirements, in environmental matters, animal welfare and food quality and safety.
