The PP 'throws down' the electoral banners
The popular bet on a digital campaign and savings on paper
The Popular Party will not use billboards in Las Canteras for the upcoming elections on May 28. This has been stated by the candidate for mayor of the capital city, Jimena Delgado, in a video that adds to the criticism raised by the Association in Defense of the Landscape (Adapa) about the canvases that other parties have already deployed on the promenade.
"In 2019 we already had the opportunity to put them up and we did not do it because we believe that this is a sensitive space, which must be protected, like other areas of the city such as Vegueta, Triana or the historic center," says Delgado, with the promise to remove all the tarpaulins if he manages to lead the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria town hall.
"We do not share this way of campaigning (...) Our campaign is digital," he added.
