The deputy secretary of Territorial Policy of the PP, Antonio González Terol, has demanded this Saturday to the Government a “social reconstruction fund” for the municipalities that avoids “queues of hunger”.
He said this after meeting with mayors of provincial capitals and municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the PP has pointed out in a note, where he has specified that a rescue of 5,000 million euros is needed to inject liquidity into the municipalities, “which are to see income reduced by the economic crisis that is going to hit the Spanish population after the health crisis. “
The popular ones also want the municipalities to be able to use 100% of the surplus of 2019 “for social and economic aid to neighbors and businessmen” and that the Executive “abdicates from expropriating or seizing” the remnants of treasury saved in the last 7 years.
He has also referred to the controversy over the pact with Bildu, calling it “unworthy” and has demanded to break it and maintain a labor reform that has allowed millions of jobs to be created.
And he regretted that Sánchez “put Bildu on the same level as the real interlocutor that the Government of Spain has with the municipalities that is the FEMP.”
