The PP accuses the Government of lying about conducting a coronavirus test

The PP has accused the Government on Monday of lying when it affirms that Spain is one of the countries that has carried out the most coronavirus tests and has asked about the reports on which it relies "to insist on that lie."

He has done so in a battery of questions that the popular parliamentary group has registered in Congress in which he reproaches the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, for his "insistence" on saying that Spain is among the countries that do the most diagnostic tests for coronavirus. among the population.

This parliamentary group, as reported in a statement, stated in the questions that Sánchez affirmed last Saturday in his appearance that "Spain is one of the countries in the world that tests its population the most."

He assures that as in "previous occasions" in which Sánchez has made this statement, the media "again denied the claim, and that is why he has presented the battery of questions.

Precisely this Monday, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has reported that Spain is in eighth place among the countries in the world in the number of coronavirus tests carried out, with 28.6 tests per 1,000 inhabitants. In total, the autonomous communities have made 1,345,560 tests, according to Health.

The popular group asks Sánchez, among other things, if he is aware that "all international publications deny him" when he assures that Spain is one of the countries that carry out the most tests.

He also asks about the scientific-technical reports on which he relies to make this statement and for what purpose "he insists" on saying it, "if it is not true".

Likewise, it asks you to answer whether you consider this statement compatible with the fact that Spain is one of the countries in the world with the most infected and deceased, "especially" of health professionals.
