The PP accuses PSOE and We can "break" the agreement on transfers

The secretary general of the PP, Teodoro García Egea, today accused the PSOE and Podemos of "breaking" the negotiations so that there is a national agreement on water with its proposal to modify the conditions that have governed the transfer of the Tajo basin to the one of Segura.

García Egea has referred to the intention of PSOE and Podemos, seconded by ERC and Compromis, to take forward tomorrow the opinion of the subcommittee on climate change in which it advocates "redimensionar" the transfer Tajo-Segura and refuses the deficit water of the community.

For the leader of the PP, the aim is to "break the consensus" on water and "put uncertainty" to the affected farmers.

"They are an affront to thousands of farmers who, with the sweat of their brow, transform the water into wealth and future, the PP will make a dam to the attempt of PSOE and We can break that consensus that there was about water and the Tajo-Segura transfer ", has denounced.

García Egea has made these statements to the media in his visit to the International Fair of Fruits and Vegetables "Fruit Attraction 2018".

The opinion that will be voted on tomorrow aims to serve as the basis for the new law on climate change that the Government of Pedro Sánchez wants to approve.

García Egea has demanded that the policy of transfers "does not depend on the opinion" of the leaders of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias, and of the ERC, Oriol Junqueras, imprisoned for his role in the independence challenge in Catalonia.

The 'number two' of the PP has urged the Andalusian President, Susana Diaz, to clarify if you agree with the measure of the PSOE and We can on a transfer that "so much wealth generated in Almeria and the Andalusian coast."
