The spokesman of the Autonomous Police Union (SAP-FEPOL), Valentin Anadón, has asked the Government of the Generalitat to stop creating constant "political tensions" among the public and to opt for a model of social cohesion that facilitates the work of the body of Mossos d'Esquadra.
In statements to Efe, the union spokesman said they know their duties and that their mission is to ensure public order, but has called "extremely serious" the measures taken by the body's director yesterday to repel the attempts to occupy the Parlament on the part of the demonstrators.
In his opinion, the device put into operation last night was "improvised" and he asked himself why the access of so many people was allowed in the Ciutadella Park.
The spokesman of SAP-FEPOL has also pointed to the Catalan political leaders as the main responsible for the stress and problems with which they are in their last deployments.
To remedy all these problems and avoid similar situations in the future, the union has demanded an extension of personnel to solve the lack of personnel in the body of Mossos d'Esquadra.
