The proposal to elect Hevia as president of the General Society of Spanish Authors has had 20 favorable votes, 12 abstentions and two opposing votes.
The election has taken place between 35 members of the board of directors that make up the SGAE, which met on Monday for the first time after they were elected by their partners on October 26.
In addition to Hevia, the body has also chosen the vice presidents and the members of the board of directors, whose mandate will be for four years.
The election of Hevia has been possible thanks to the resignation of the Deontological Commission to continue with the process initiated by its millionaire collections with 'La Rueda'.
