The patient admitted to La Gomera is negative in two tests in a row – La Provincia

The patient admitted to La Gomera has given negative twice in a rows in their Covid-19 coronavirus diagnostic tests. This means, in the beginning, that the woman could be discharged in the next few hours and could live a normal life. Throughout the process, the woman, resident on the island, has been in good health and admitted to the General Hospital of La Gomera.

According to the Ministry of Health, the rest of hospitalized and isolated patients (the other six) are in good health, hospitalized and isolated as marked by the protocol. All of them are periodically tested and once they have a double negative they will be discharged from hospital and can live a normal life.

Of these six cases, five correspond to the group of citizens who came together to spend their vacations and whose first positive occurred on Monday, February 24. The sixth case corresponds to that of a British citizen who tested positive last Tuesday and is a hotel guest. The woman followed the sanitary indications marked as the use of masks and hand washing.

The operation leaving the hotel guests from the South continues with 238 departures until 12:00 on Wednesday.

Until this Wednesday more than 450 PCR test of coronavirus detection, of which 420 have been carried out in the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria and the rest in the laboratories of the hospitals of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.

On the other hand, the Minister of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, Teresa Cruz Oval, has met this Wednesday with the official schools of doctors, nurses and pharmacists of both the province of Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
