The German organist David Schlaffke opens next Sunday April 14 at 12.30 in the morning the edition of the International Bach Festival Canarias 2019 with a program collected within the cycle Organ in Concert of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, which pursues get the organ repertoire out of your usual religious environment. The German musician will tackle a complete repertoire that includes pieces by Franz Liszt, Mauricio Kagel, Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi.

His repertoire consists of works from almost all periods and styles, with a predominance of German and Romantic Baroque music, as well as French music of the 19th and 20th centuries. Apart from his activity as an organist, David Schlaffke also performs chamber music concerts, playing the piano and the key. Since 2008 he is the organist of the Amsterdam Sloterkerk, where he recorded a CD with works for soloist and compositions for violin and organ. In 2016 he also published a CD with works by Franz Liszt, J.S. Bach, Richard Wagner and Julius Reubke, recorded at the Reubke organ in Niederdorla.
The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium and the Pérez Galdós Theater will host the four concerts that make up the proposal of the International Bach Festival Canarias 2019. Thus, the Auditorium hosts the concerts on April 15, 16 and 18 Bach Concertante, Bach Intimate and the Passion according to San Juan.
