The OPEC barrel depreciates 3% and trades at $ 80.14

The reference barrel of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) depreciated on Thursday by 3% and was paid at 80.14 dollars, the energy group reported today in Vienna.

That loss of $ 2.46 compared to Wednesday's values put the OPEC barrel at its lowest values in almost three weeks.

However, the average price of the OPEC barrel so far this year, 70.89 dollars, is 35% higher than the average of 2017, after two months of widespread increases due to fear, among other factors, that the sanctions that the United States will apply since November to Iranian oil affect the offer.

The forecasts of supply and demand made public yesterday by OPEC do not show, however, that risk of imbalance in the short term.
