New cases of coronavirus fell to 4 in China on Wednesday, all of them from abroad, compared to 22 the day before, while the number of infected "active" fell to 619 from 647 the previous day, the Commission reported today. National Health.
Health authorities reported that, as of last local midnight (4pm GMT), 4 cases had been diagnosed in travelers from abroad, the so-called "imported" cases.
The number of cases from abroad treated in Chinese hospitals stands at 525, 13 of which are in serious condition, of the 1,664 diagnosed so far.
The commission does not report new deaths in its last part, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,633 out of the 82,836 infected people officially diagnosed in China since the start of the pandemic.
On the other hand, 32 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours, so the total number of cured and discharged patients is 77,610.
Thus, the number of infected "active" in the Asian country remains in 619 cases -for 647 the day before-, of which 41 are patients in serious condition, according to the commission.
To date, 732,369 close contacts with the infected have been medically monitored, of which 8,032 are still under observation, and of these, 10 would be suspected cases of having infected the virus.

In Hong Kong cases rise to 1,037 with four deaths and in Taiwan a total of 429 cases and 6 deaths are recorded.
