The trial of the "procés" resumes on Monday in the middle of Holy Week with the testimony of number two of Daniel Baena, the Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Guard who led the investigation into the preparations for 1-O.
The tenth week of the trial will serve to listen to what will probably be the last key testimony that subtracts the accusations before giving way, after the festivities of Holy Week, to the testimony proposed by the defenses.
The number two of Baena, head of the judicial police of the Civil Guard in Catalonia, testify about his role as secretary of the reports that nurtured the cause of the preparations for the referendum in court 13 of Barcelona, and that served to fuel the procedure of the Supreme against the dome of the "procés".
Some reports criticized by the defense, which doubt the impartiality of the investigation of the Civil Guard, as they made it clear in their questions to Baena, who questioned an attitude connivente with the Office of the Prosecutor, which will also foreseeably leave constancy in his interrogations to his number two.
After his appearance, there will be a long train of agents from the riot police unit (UIP) of the National Police who were injured after their intervention on 1-O in Barcelona.
