Detective Ricardo Blanco looks without much attention at the tables of Talleres Palermo. Up front on stage is his nemesis and his creator: the writer Jose Luis Correa. This is about decisions, actually, about who dares to make them. There is a ladder that levitates above the tables where Yul Bastelleros, a musician and nephew of the writer, plays the electroacoustic guitar. That's not bad luck. Between his hands, he strums the sound of the ocean left on the shore of Maspalomas by a boat with migrants. That image is the one that resonates in the dramatized reading of the presentation act. Ricardo and Beatriz, his partner, walk away from the noise among the dunes until they meet reality. Above are the bodies of two young African men who have been discovered.

Why didn't he turn back and continue on his way? As the other passers-by have done, so have the authorities that manage migratory flows, the public powers that deny the powers of humanitarian reception. In Ricardo's head, in Correa's, there is a search for human integrity that is represented in the glasses of wine that are distributed on the tables of the non-fictional world while a boat is shipwrecked. The silence before the story is solemn, although the murmur of suppressed laughter escapes when the author winks at his readers in the text, while his slow voice manages to say «there is nothing lonelier than death».

The lightness of the story, serious within the black novel that characterizes his style, was sustained by the writer's gaze towards his audience. Perhaps, with those pages that he was reading in his hands, she was supporting the layers that were being discovered between the fragments whose intermediates Ballesteros punctuated, remembering the turbulent marine depth. The scenarios are familiar as they were drawn in the minds of the audience: they reflect the hypocrisy of tourism and aporophobia, the suburbs where prostitutes are exploited and the skeins of corrupt power, although the honor of those who still resist fall.

The corpses, far from the shipwreck that caught the attention of the couple, are actually an excuse to analyze the clear weakening of a reception system that allows overcrowding or the presence of mafias that play with the lives of those who embark.

Behind the protagonists of the evening there is a globe. It is the vanishing point of the duo formed by the two creators. It is dimly illuminated and, by chance, the Earth's axis is stopped at that point in the Atlantic where the Canary Islands are. That is where the world visualizes them: in a plastic model while detective Ricardo Blanco points them out.
