The new restrictions apply with the requirement of the covid certificate indoors

The novelty will be the entry into force of the covid certificate that will certify that the Canarian population has the complete vaccination schedule. If you have not received it yet, you must show a negative result of a PCR or antigen test carried out up to 72 hours before. The certificate will have to be presented by all people who want to access interiors and are over 18 years old, that is, it is required to enter hospitality establishments and sports and cultural facilities. At this level 4 the activity will be allowed indoors in bars and restaurants with 50% occupancy as in level 3, and the gyms will have a maximum capacity of 33%, the same as in 3. The premises may close at 00.00 hours and the activities and services that have that schedule.

At level 3, which is applied in three islands, including Gran Canaria, where the capacity of the interior of restaurants and cafes will be 50%, 10% of these diners must also have the covid certificate that proves that they are vaccinated, that have had the disease in the last six months or have a negative CRP in the last 72 hours. On the terraces the capacity remains at 75%. The maximum number of diners is six per table on the terraces and four indoors, although they may increase to six indoors if they are people with full vaccination. In the bars, only two consumers can coincide and the cafes, bars and restaurants may open until 00.00.

In Tenerife there may be meetings of two people who are not living together in spaces for public or private use, except in hotels and restaurants where the number increases. On Level 3 Islands, the maximum number of non-cohabitants that can meet in public and private spaces is four. Cultural activities are set at 55%, as in level 3, but requiring a covid certificate at level 4.

Number 3 prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages after 10 pm in retail stores. Also the closing before 10 pm of parks, beaches and public spaces in which the celebration of bottles and agglomerations are expected. Shopping centers and parks will have a maximum capacity of 25% and regular land, urban and metropolitan public transport will have a capacity of 33% and the busiest lines will be reinforced.

Also in phase 3, churches and wakes are subject to a maximum capacity of 33%; Visits to hospitals may not be made, except in situations necessary at the discretion of the physician or the center. In the workplace, the use of teleworking and telematic meetings is recommended and that the number of employees in person in the company does not exceed 33% of its capacity. The residences for the elderly and centers for the disabled will not be affected by the closure in the islands in phase 3. The Canary Islands want to apply the curfew to protect themselves against new infections. In this sense, the Supreme Court has until Friday to rule on the regional government’s appeal against the decision of the Supreme Court to deny the curfew from 00:30 to 6:00 on the islands at alert levels 3 and 4.
