The mythical contest ‘The fair price’ returns to television with Carlos Sobera

Mediaset Spain announced this Tuesday the return to television of mythical contest ‘The right price’, led by the presenter Carlos Sobera, in what will be a “renewed version” of the format.

As announced by the communication group that directs Paolo Vasile, the entertainment space will return to the small screen “with a new image but maintaining and enhancing its most iconic elements and with its recognized grand prizes and cash. ”

“It is one of the most emblematic formats of the medium, a television benchmark for a whole generation in our country and now it returns to Mediaset España totally renewed: ‘The fair price’ is back “, the company highlighted.

Produced in collaboration with Fremantle, Carlos Sobera will be the driver of this new stage of the contest. In each edition, several anonymous contestants will have to guess, without going overboard, the price and value of one or more objects. After a first phase, a final round is reached with great prizes and cash. The casting is open to participants over 18 years of age, with no age limit.

‘The right price’ has 45th Emmy Awards and it has been adapted in 42 territories in its more than 65 years of history. In the United States it has been broadcasting after 48 years, and in Portugal it has been on the air for more than 18. Currently it is also broadcast in Thailand, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

In Spain, the contest premiered at the end of the 80s on Spanish Television (TVE), with the mythical phrase “Let’s play!” pronounced by Joaquín Prats.
