The music of Red Dead Redemption 2 comes to Spotify and Apple Music

More than eight months after the publication of Red Dead Redemption 2, today comes to digital music platforms the original soundtrack of this popular video game. The Music Of

Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Soundtrack
is the title of this album composed of 13 pieces created exclusively for the occasion and produced by the winner of 11 Grammy awards, Daniel Lanois, and the seal Lakeshore Records. The album is already available in services like Spotify Y Apple Music.

It has taken more than half a year for the editor Rockstar Games decided to publish the original soundtrack of his acclaimed blockbuster, a situation as atypical as it is the very nature of this album, which picks up only a small fraction of all the sound mosaic of Red Dead Redemption 2, specifically the original songs interpreted by artists like Willie Nelson, D'Angelo, Rhiannon Giddens Y Josh Homme, also, from Daniel Lanois himself.

The North American company has announced that by the end of this summer it will publish a complementary album called The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score, which is expected to collect the abundant environmental and narrative music composed by Woody Jackson, a fundamental part within an ambitious sound mosaic that captures the essence and the North American musical roots and that the magazine Rolling Stone rated – even without being available at the time – as "one of the biggest albums of 2018"

The soundtrack that today reaches digital platforms collects some of the most iconic songs of the game starring the outlaw Arthur Morgan, among them 'Unshaken' (D'Angelo), 'That's the Way It Is' (Daniel Lanois), 'Cruel World' (Willie Nelson and Joshua Homme) and 'Mountain Hymn' (Rhiannon) Giddens). Instrumental themes that sound during the final credits are also included.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an ambitious open-world video game set in the Wild North American West of the late nineteenth century. Available for consoles Playstation 4 Y Xbox One, the title had already sold 23 million units four months after its launch, according to Rockstar Games.
