The murderer of Laura Luelmo today change her statement - The Province
The only detainee as alleged perpetrator of the death of the young Zamora Laura Luelmo in the Huelva town of El Campillo last December, Bernardo Montoya, will give a statement this Thursday by videoconference in the Courts of Valverde del Camino (Huelva) to offer a new version of the events that led to the death of the teacher.
According to sources close to the case, the declaration will begin at 10.30 am, all the parties to the case being present at the physical headquarters of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number one of Valverde del Camino except the accused, who will be in jail of Morón de la Frontera (Seville) where it remains internal and that it will declare through videoconference.
This judicial summons comes as a result of the version given by Montoya in the prison where he is, in which blamed Laura Luelmo's death on her ex-girlfriend, version that motivated that the holder of the court dictated an order at the beginning of March so that it returned to declare.
Montoya is in the Sevillian jail after his arrival at dawn on December 22 in the nursing module of the penitentiary of Huelva with a support intern to reinforce his surveillance. However, given the nature of the crime investigated in the case, it was considered appropriate to transfer him from the province of Huelva.
In provisional prison, communicated and without bail
The head of the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Valverde del Camino decreed that Saturday 22 at three in the morning the admission to provisional detention, communicated and without bail for Bernardo Montoya. The judge investigates him, for the time being, for the alleged crimes of murder, illegal detention and sexual assault.
Also, Penitentiary Institutions applied Bernardo Montoya Article 75 that regulates measures to safeguard the life or physical integrity of the inmate through the adoption of measures that involve regimental limitations, reporting to the judge.
The events took place last December, when the young natural teacher of Zamora Laura Luelmo disappeared in El Campillo (Huelva), where she lived after occupying a teaching position at a Nerva institute. After his disappearance on the 12th, his lifeless body was found on the 17th with signs of violence in a spot of the surroundings of the town. One day later, Bernardo Montoya was arrested as the main suspect.
