The consecrated Ghent master René Jacobs, an indispensable interpreter of the baroque and classical repertoires, has marked the hot zone of the 37th FIMC with a masterful reading of the opera Così fan tutte, the most cynical and carefree Italian libretto of the three written for Mozart by the Da Ponte priest. The complete work, which lasts more than three hours, sounded gloriously in the Afredo Kraus Auditorium (who was a great Mozartian tenor under the batons of Karajan and Bohm), served by collectives and soloists of the highest quality. Among the former, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, the ideal vehicle for virtuosity, vivacity and joy that a critical and humorous Mozart recreates as well as being beautiful and sensitive. .
