The Mossos dismantle two narcophones in the Eixample district of Barcelona

The Mossos d'Esquadra are developing this morning an operation to dismantle two narco-piles detected in the Eixample district, the first in which they have intervened outside the district of Ciutat Vella.

As reported by the Mossos, it is two occupied floors that the criminals had converted into drug sales points.

Sources close to the investigation have indicated to Efe that it would be drug traffickers who would have left Ciutat Vella after the police pressure in this district against the narco-ops, and that culminated on October 29 in Operation Bacar, in which they were registered and closed about thirty of these drug outlets and 58 people were arrested.

Subsequently, on November 1, the Ubiq device was activated to increase the uniformed police presence in the streets of Ciutat Vella, especially in the most sensitive and conflictive areas, which apparently led some drug traffickers to leave this district and occupy flats in nearby areas, such as the Eixample.
