The microcredits to pay the rental of housing for those affected by the coronavirus crisis will have a maximum amount of 5,400 euros, that is, 900 euros per month, and may be requested retroactively for the payment in April.
The Official State Gazette (BOE) details this Friday in an order the fringes that remained of these microcredits without interest announced by the Government, which can be returned within a period of six years, expandable to ten, and which will serve to meet the payment renting their homes to those families with financial problems.
Thus, the order establishes that the six bankable monthly payments can be from April 1 and that the credit will be formalized through a loan contract between the bank and the lessee with a maximum of 5,400 euros, that is to say, 900 euros per monthly payment.
The loans, with a line of 1,200 million from the Official Credit Institute (ICO), must be requested by the interested party before the credit institution, with the application form also published this Friday, before September 30, 2020 and must be formalized before October 31, 2020.
However, these terms may be extended until November 30 and December 31, 2020, respectively.
To qualify for them, the order establishes that the lessee must meet the following requirements.
The first is that he or one of the members of the family unit is affected by a circumstance that implies a reduction in income as a consequence of the expansion of COVID-19.
Second, that the total income of the members of the family unit, in the month prior to the application for aid, does not reach the limit of five times the monthly Multiple Effects Public Income Indicator (hereinafter IPREM).
And the third, that the rental income plus basic expenses and supplies is greater than or equal to 35% of the net income received by all the members of the family unit.
The order also details that, on the occasion of the granting of the loan, the credit institution “may not require the interested party to contract any additional product or service”.
Once granted, the credit institution will pay the loan amount, corresponding to the six monthly payments, directly to the person or entity that leases the home, after notifying the loan holder.
The payment, he adds, will be made monthly, unless a different periodicity is agreed, and, where appropriate, with an initial payment that includes the monthly accrued and unpaid from April 1, 2020 until the signing of the contract of loan.
