The Miami Seaquarium invites you to interact with sharks and manta rays

The Miami Seaquarium presented on Thursday a new attraction in which visitors can interact with manta rays and nurse sharks accompanied by specially trained staff to make the experience unique.

The habitat "Discovery Keys", which has been completely renovated and reproduces a mangrove of the Florida Keys (USA), is the scene of this new attraction of the aquarium.

Chris Plante, curator of the Miami Seaquarium, located on the banks of the Bay of Biscay, attended the press presentation of an experience that until now could not be lived in the city.

The visitor has the possibility to let themselves be touched by these animals and feed them, as well as other species present in this reproduction of a characteristic habitat of southern Florida.

The opening of this new attraction coincides with Shark Week, a block of programs dedicated exclusively to sharks that every year since 31 arrives on cable television and is seen in 72 countries.

Created in 1988, Shark Week, of Discovery Channel, has been the event of its kind that has been in cable television programming since 2010.

In the United States it is a summer classic that appears in coincidence with the time when viewers are more at risk, like the general public, of having a meeting with a shark in real life.

This year his appointment with the viewers began on Sunday, July 28 and the program is a festival of open jaws, blood in the sea and triangular fins hovering on the surface.
