Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp spoke about the sanction Manchester City has received and said it was “a shock” while praising Pep Guardiola’s work in the English side.
The German coach was questioned about the sanction that UEFA imposed this Friday on City and that will prevent him from playing European competitions in the next two years.
“It was a shock,” Klopp said on the Sky Sports network. “All I can say is that I am a football coach and I talk about football. What Pep has done since arriving in England is exceptional. On the rest, I have no idea. ”
“I’m sorry for Pep and the players. There will be an appeal and we’ll see what happens. Obviously it’s something serious,” Klopp added.
The German spoke after his team defeated Norwich City 0-1 and extended the advantage with Manchester City in the Premier League to 25 points. EFE
