In the new edition of CES, which lasts until next Friday, January 10, where the leading technology companies will present the next technological advances and products that will be brought to market.More than 4,500 companies will attend CES and present products from 36 different categoriess such as televisions, smartphones or smart devices for homes.
The first time this event was held was in 1976, with headquarters at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Currently the event owned by Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is one of the leading technology fairs worldwide. For the 2020 edition, more than 170,000 attendees from 160 different countries are expected, as the CES organization has stated in a statement.
Main trends
CESallows you to know first-hand the trends that currently guide technological advancesand the path that companies will follow in the coming years. In this sense, the managing director in the area of Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) of Accenture, Adolfo Rodero, has identified three that will stand out above the rest.
Is about5G technology, which will allow greater convergence of home and office. "At CES we expect a first advance of the home and the workplace of the future," Rodero says in a statement.
5G
5G connectivity, as he explains, will provideLess latency and greater data capacity. It will be a hundred times faster than existing 4G networks, which will allow Artificial Intelligence, computer processes and data analysis to be the main protagonists in improving the user experience.
On the other hand, changes in mobility will force companies to identify new approachestowards a completely new, sustainable and profitable mobility system of the future. One of these approaches is the tendency of consumers towards 'car sharing' or 'ride-hailing' (rental vehicles with driver), instead of having their own car.
Human emotions
CES will also repair the responsible business with theemotional data of consumerss. Artificial Intelligence systems and devices can already recognize, interpret, process and simulate human emotions, so a facial or voice analysis can be used to decode human emotions and use it in marketing, market research or political surveys.
In this context, Rodero points out that without measures of good governance or responsibility,CMT companies run the risk of losing customer confidenceand to miss the opportunity to use emotional data to innovate and drive profitable growth.
